first of all you have to have a wireless network card. if its a desktop computer you need a wireless network adapter. sounds like your router is working since you can connect to it while being hard wired in, but make sure your network card inside your computer or if you have a network adapter outside the computer is wireless enabled. if not you won’t be able to connect wirelessly.
