  There’s a free pro­gram called Glary Utili­ies that has lots of use­ful tools like a reg­istry defrag and use­less files remover and it’s a free down­load. Read about it and down­load it here. Another rea­son a com­puter is slow is due to a virus and this pro­gram can detect them too

  CCleaner for me with­out a doubt, not only does it clean your reg­istry but it’s has a disk cleaner which a lot bet­ter than Win­dows built, in addi­tion to start up edi­tor and other good­ies, in addi­tion to that a piece of soft­ware called Defrag­gler from the same com­pany as CCleaner which you may find useful.

  It depends on what’s mak­ing it slow. Just “doing things” often causes more prob­lems than it causes. (I reg­u­larly repair com­put­ers that the own­ers “fixed” or “made faster”.)   Use a reg­istry cleaner, unin­stall any active Antivirus pro­grams as they may be eat­ing up your RAM. Use lighter antivirus pro­grams. IOBIT Advanced Sys­tem­care has spy­ware detec­tion and reg­istry clean­ing, Mal­ware­bytes has Mal­ware detec­tion, Microsoft Onecare for a lim­ited time can detect any viruses.
